This term we have been doing some science. We have been learning about the water cycle and the 5 states of matter. Here is some of my learning.😎

I am really pleased to see your science work up on your blog. You have shown me that you are developing an understanding of the water cycle and some of the issues we are facing around water. I was surprised to see that you didn't understand that water evaporates because it is heated by the sun and that when the water evaporates it becomes a gas that rises into the air. As this gas rises it cools and condensates and forms clouds. We read and talked about this a lot during our science work.

It was good to see that you could explain the three main states of matter and you could create a diagram explaining the Māori view of the water cycle with Ranginui and Papatūānuku. Understanding science helps us to understand the world around us! I wonder if other cultures have stories that explain the water cycle?
Thanks for sharing your work. Ka pai tō mahi pūtaiao!

  2. Charlie, I also couldn't find any video links on your work? Did you do the 'Interview with a glass of water' and did you video any of your other work?
